SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Professional and amateur writers are welcome to submit
their stories to Indistan.com website. We are interested in stories related to
India, the Indian Peninsula or, broadly, the ASEAN region. We prefer stories
that are reader-oriented and informative. This means that we expect you to write
on any general topic but with a unique viewpoint that makes it original and
interesting to read.
Instead of writing general stories such as how to lose
weight or how to invest, which are generally common, dispassionate and neutral,
we expect you to write why it is important to lose weight or why it is important
to invest. Give a lot of examples of personal and others’ experiences. This will
give an emotional twist to the story and make it more interesting to read. For
this purpose, you can also do research into the story and bring in more details
if possible.
You can create your login and submit stories. The editorial
team of indistan.com reserves the right to review, edit, rewrite, accept or
reject any story. All accepted stories would be published under your email/login
in the form of a blog.
PAYMENT TERMS
Ideally, a story can be anything between 300-800 words.
Anything less than that does not do complete justice to the story and anything
more would lose readers’ interest.
All the stories submitted by you will go through an
editorial review. You can return to the site at least 1-2 week after submission
to check whether your story has been accepted for publication or not.
If after a period of two weeks, or till such time when your
story is not accepted, you can remove it from admin panel and use it elsewhere.
If the story is accepted, it will be accorded an Editor Rating in the form of
red stars ranging from three to five.

This rating shall depend on the length of the article, the
originality of the subject and the content, and the amount of research and
information that goes into the story. Each story accepted with three star rating
would be paid Rupees 100.00 ($2); each story with four star rating will be paid
Rupees 200.00 ($4); each story with a five star rating will be paid Rupees
300.00 ($6).
Payment will be made within 30 days of the acceptance and
publication of the story. All payments shall be made through PayPal on the email
id provided by the writer in their login id. If there is any change in the same,
you can send a mail informing us about it.
COPYRIGHTS
Copyrights of all accepted stories shall automatically be
transferred to Indistan.com and its management. Such stories can be reprinted
only after written permission from Indistan.com. However, if any story is not
accepted by the Indistan.com, it can be edited/deleted or used elsewhere by the
writer.
All the content, logo, designs, illustrations and other
material (except advertisements) published on the website are the sole
proprietorship of Indistan.com and its management and its use, reprinting or
distribution shall be deemed as a violation of existing and applicable copyright
laws.
DISCLAIMER
Most of the content published on the website is submitted
by amateur/freelance writers, therefore the publishers/owners of the website
cannot be held legally responsible for the same. If there is a copyright
infringement in any of the stories published on the website, it should
immediately be brought to the notice of the management for quick redress.
Readers are requested to collate the stories published on
Indistan.com website with other news/information available elsewhere to get
conclusive details on any story.
All matters related to Indistan.com website shall be
subject to jurisdiction of courts of the city of Kanpur, India only. |
